Job Description

Major duties and responsibilities:

  • Prepare and share CGPP/GHSA’s annual implementation plan to the project team and ensure its execution of the activities as per its timeline.
  • Provide capacity building training and technical support to frontline health workers and partners
  • Provide technical support to heath workers, volunteers, and local implementing partners to enhance community-based diseases surveillances
  • Conduct periodic assessment to identify gaps and propose solutions to fill the identified gaps and build the capacity of health facilities and veterinary clinics in the targeted woredas
  • Work with local health authorities to enhance cross border collaboration and polio immunization activities at crossing points
  • Monitor the project budget expenditure, prepare implementation plan, and ensure the execution of the project activities as per the timeline.

Required Professional Experience

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in Expanded Immunization program, health system strengthening, community health programming.
  • Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification
  • BA in development/project management with health background with training of Immunization in Practice and community event-based surveillance system

Preferred Knowledge And Qualifications

Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement : The position requires frequent travel to Kebele’s in five project woredas (Homosha, Bambasi, Mao & Komo and woredas)

Physical Requirements The duty station at Assosa

Language Requirements : English and local language
