Job Description


Union of Ethiopian Women and Children Associations (UEWCA) is a non-governmental, apolitical, non-religious consortium of 88 Women/Girls and Children-focused local CSOs that are engaged on women and girls Empowerment and advancement of Gender Equality in all regional states and city administrations of the country. It was established in 2010 as a consortium to empower and voice the voice of its beneficiaries and member CSOs as well as capacitate and coordinate the efforts of member CSOs for the realization of their common goal which is ensuring gender equality and empowerment of women, girls, and children.

Union of Ethiopian Women and Children Associations (UEWCA) invites qualified and committed candidates to apply for the following project-based positions under its EHF-funded humanitarian response project at Jara IDP Site

Key Responsibilities:
The Woreda-Level Officer will provide overall coordination, supervision, and operational oversight of multi-sectoral project activities, including Protection, WASH, ES/NFI, CCCM, and MPC. The officer will coordinate with woreda authorities, site committees, community leaders, and partners; supervise field staff; monitor progress against targets; ensure donor and UEWCA compliance; facilitate community engagement and accountability mechanisms; and ensure gender, protection, and disability inclusion are mainstreamed across activities.

About You

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s/BA Degree in Gender studies , Development Studies, Humanitarian Affairs, or related field with a minimum of 5 years for MA or 7 years for BA in humanitarian or emergency response programs
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and reporting skills
  • Experience in working with community, government authority and clusters
