Job Description


Responsibilities

S/he is responsible for facilitating and coordinating collective actions by women farmers and gender activities, including engagement in business activities.  The key functions are the following:

  • Support the establishment and strengthening of women economic groups through training, and coaching.
  • Organize different training for women farmers and groups.
  • Support women groups to plan and implement their businesses, gender transformation, & community actions.
  • Link women groups with information, research, credit, and input and output market opportunities.
  • Keep gender disaggregated data and records, lessons, and good practices.

Job Requirement

Education: BA/B.Sc degree in agriculture, rural business, or other related fields.

Work Experience: 3 years in relevant fields preferably in an NGO environment.

Language skills: Ability to write and communicate orally in Afaan Oromo, English & Amharic with accuracy.

Other skills: Ability to ride a motorbike.

The duty station is at Kotoba Field Office (in Dendi district of West Shewa Zone).
