Job Description


We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Warehouse Manager to oversee the daily operations of our warehouse in Kurmuk Gold Mine site . The successful candidate will ensure the effective management of inventory, including mine equipment, spare parts, and supplies, while adhering to safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, and dispatching / issuing of materials.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure accurate stock levels and efficient inventory management.
  • Coordinate with procurement, maintenance, and operations departments to ensure timely delivery of required materials.
  • Supervise and train warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to safety and company policies.
  • Oversee the maintenance of warehouse equipment and ensure the cleanliness and safety of the facility.
  • Implement and monitor safety protocols for handling materials and equipment.
  • Prepare regular reports on stock levels, material usage, and warehouse performance.
  • Work closely with the logistics team to streamline material movements and deliveries to mine sites.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all transactions.
  • Manage and maintain stock of critical parts and supplies for continuous mine operations.
  • Utilize warehouse management software to track inventory and optimize warehouse operations.

 

Location: Benshangul Gumuz, Asosa Zone, Kurmuk Woreda Project Site – Fly In/Fly out roster (6/2weeks)

Salary: Negotiable & Attractive.

Industry: Mining

Reports To: Procurement and Logistics, Manager

About You

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (preferable but not mandatory).
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in a mining, industrial, or heavy equipment environment.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management systems.
  • Familiarity with handling and storing heavy equipment, spare parts, and other mining-related materials.

Skills:

  • Good command of English, both written and spoken, for communication and report generation.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Knowledge of safety standards in industrial environments.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional Information:

This role requires the ability to work in a mining environment.
