Job Description


The Opportunity

The position holder will be responsible for ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness in the supply chain and administration domains while maintaining compliance with organizational and donor policies. The role involves supporting and initiating, systems optimization, compliance monitoring, data management, and performance analysis through KPIs. The manager will oversee fleet & transport management, asset control, warehousing, liaising & customs clearance, and administration while fostering a culture of efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement. The role will serve as a focal point for Audits, OCA & capacity building partners in the area of supply chain and administration.

The position holder is expected to develop and automate systems and processes related to transport and fleet, warehouse and asset management, system-related issues, administration issues, and serve as a technical referent in the domain of supply chain and admin for counterparts at the field offices. He/ she is expected to optimize limited resources and establish warehouse, asset and fleet systems for oversight in areas that are not accessible.

Safeguarding Children and Young People (Safeguarding) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI)

  • Understands and puts into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), ensuring that concerns are reported and managed in accordance with the appropriate procedures.
  • Ensures that all staff in the unit/function/department are properly inducted on and understands their role in upholding Plan International’s safeguarding and GEI policies;
  • Ensures that Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in day to day work.
  • Ensures that Plan Ethiopia contributes to Plan International’s global efforts to ensure safeguarding and GEI, including making sure that relevant reporting and data are submitted
About You
  • Education at BA Degree level in fields such as Supply Chain Management/Logistics Management/ Business Administration, or a related field of study
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in Logistics & Supply Chain management, with at least 3 years in a managerial position (not necessarily gained in an NGO or INGO) in leading Logistics &Supply Chain.
  • Strong technical skills in supply chain (Procurement, Fleet, Warehouse, Asset, Logistics, Admin), and knowledge and experience of project management
  • Experience in international supply chains and customs regulations would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of the humanitarian sector trends and constraints would be an advantage
  • Additional experience in supply chain management is a plus
