Reports to: Head of Supply chain

Department: Supply Chain

Job Summary:

A Store Keeper and Purchaser officer is responsible for receiving, storing and issuing material and maintaining accurate records, monitors stock levels and ensures proper organization of the warehouse. Overall, work closely with the factory team to ensure timely availability of materials and purchases.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Conduct regular stock checks to ensure proper inventory levels.
  • Implement efficient storage and organization systems for raw materials and finished products.
  • Manage the incoming and outgoing spare part and consumable items
  • Collaborate with the SC team to identify materials needed for production.
  • Assist in the procurement process by providing accurate inventory information.
  • Monitor stock levels and initiate purchase requisitions as necessary.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of stored materials.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify and address any issues with stock. .
  • Coordinate with quality assurance teams to meet industry standards.
  • Maintain detailed records of inventory transactions.
  • Generate reports on stock levels, consumption, and replenishment needs.
  • Prepare documentation for material transfers and shipments.
  • Adhere to safety protocols for handling and storing materials.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
  • Report any safety or compliance concerns to the relevant authorities.
  • Liaise with different departments to understand material requirements
  • Collaborate with the production team to optimize material flow.
  • Handle factory purchase
  • Identify potential suppliers and conduct market research for plastic raw materials.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and agreements with suppliers.
  • Source materials at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchase transactions and contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in procurement activities.

Job Requirements

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Qualification Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any social field.
  • Proven experience in warehouse management and purchase
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using procurement and inventory management tools.

Experience: 3-4 years of experience

Languages Required: Amharic and English
