Job Summary

To co-ordinate, coach and control the activities of the level one Electrical maintenance teams in the production environment and to provide specialist technical advice

Key Responsibilities

Plant Availability

• Develop the planned corrective team by discipline, leadership and coaching
• Record all the activities on log book before handing over the shift.
• Check stock levels and order spare parts with maintenance planner.
• Maintain all tools, equipment, and working areas in good condition.
• Maintain smooth operation of machines during the shift
• Plan and execute tasks based on their priority.
• Support the production team to minimize losses
• Assess the performance of shift technicians according to their performance
• Manage electrical activities, modifications, rewiring and parameter registration
• Lead and train the technicians in the shift on problems.
• Participate in installation of new machines
• Work in team environment and be able to meet daily production goals.
• Manage routine maintenance on a production machines
• Manage and Carry out inspection and cleaning on Motors, MCCR panels, Fans and filters.
• Manage work orders and tags raised.
• Manage and perform calibration and modifications.
• Manage the date coder machine
• Read and interpret machine electrical drawings.
• Perform any other job assigned by the packaging engineer as and when required
• Apply fault-finding techniques, conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and regular plant inspections
• report non-conformance and problems to packaging engineer as per the escalation procedure
• Monitoring the operational conditions of machinery and equipment
• Perform LOTO procedure on machines and /or equipment in preparation for maintenance.
• Perform other duties given to him/her by his/her immediate leader.

Implement SOP’s

• Develop Maintenance SOP
• Implement shift planned running inspections
• Develop and update electrical planned maintenance schedules in collaboration with maintenance planner.
• Implement 5 s
• Implement WCM

Quality, Profit/Cost, Peoples management, Safety

• Other fixed costs controlled within budget
• spare consumption controlled within budget
• Autonomous Maintenance and Asset Care carried out
• Manage his/her team related communication, development and alignment activities
• Perform all packaging quality related activities to required standard
• Support Manufacturing excellence best practice implementation in packaging area
• Ensure the adherence of safety and housekeeping of his team and area of work respectively

Job Requirements

Required Qualification & Experience

• BSc in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or related fields
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in FMCG
