Job Description

Position Summary :

To handle all procurement activities of the project, project office and negotiate with suppliers for better price and quality

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assists the planning, sourcing, and executing all purchasing activities
  • Based on general direction and procedure of the company, the senior procurement officer plans, organizes, and executes the day-to-day purchase of materials and services.
  • Assist and facilitates efficient, smooth and cost-effective procurement, warehousing, logistics and supply of necessary materials for effective running of all projects
  • Liaise with Finance department on issues/improvements required to ensure compliance with procurement and financial regulations of the company
  • Solicit bids, quotations and tender documents; handle the bidding process and provide support for procurement transactions, analyzing them for conformity to specified requirements; conduct appraisals, select suppliers and coordinate with Procurement committee and Finance team to ensure compliance with procurement and financial regulations of the company
  • Handle the overall procurement activities and other related tasks of the company, which include procurement, assets /inventory control, supply, and service
  • Initiates the timely submission of different work units’ purchase requests for various goods/items necessary for their day-to-day operation
  • Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual purchasing plan and implement upon approval of the designated manager
  • Assists and participate in bid documents preparation and selection of suppliers
  • Ensures that all foreign and local purchases are in compliance with regulations and laws related to purchasing practices and Kegna Beverages S. C’s standard practices;
  • Makes close follow up of status of foreign purchase and shipments; organize and coordinate the timely and safe arrival of foreign goods through effective networking with customs, banks, insurance, shipping lines, and airlines
  • Follows up the turnover of stock goods/items per the need request of various work units and takes appropriate action
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records and documentation on all purchases, contracts, and list of current and potential suppliers, correspondence and other related matters
  • Prepares monthly report on procurement performance
  • Check and classify the precedence of the requisition and process as priority setting of the material needed for the Project (Maintain Project Procurement Plan and consult with Engineering and Project
  • Management on required purchases).
  • Monitor, assess and keep senior management informed of the quality, efficiency and timeliness of procurement services;
  • Performs other related duties assigned by immediate supervisor

Qualification & Experience

  • BA or MSc/MBA Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain, Management, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting or related field;
  • More than or Equal to 7 years proven experience in a purchasing management role in FMCG or Project
  • Contracts and supplier management experience
  • Experience of working with Custom and Shipping agents, Bank & insurance
