Job Summary

CCECC Ethiopian Branch would like to hire competent applicants for the following vacant positions. We are seeking Senior Electrical Design Engineers with proven expertise in power system design and weak current/IT network system design to lead the company’s new and ongoing construction projects at various phases.

The successful candidates must be able to independently complete full project designs, from concept to final documentation, for large-scale office buildings and infrastructure projects. They will be responsible for designing power supply and distribution systems, IT network systems, data centers, and Building Management Systems (BMS), ensuring compliance with Ethiopian standards and international best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently design and prepare technical documentation for electrical systems in buildings
• Develop power supply and distribution systems (for Power System Design role)
• Design IT network systems, weak current systems, Data Centers, and BMS systems (for IT System Design role)
• Prepare detailed electrical drawings using CAD and other engineering software
• Ensure all designs meet Ethiopian design standards, codes, and safety requirements
• Lead coordination efforts with other design disciplines for fully integrated project solutions
• Participate in technical reviews, project meetings, and provide expert guidance to junior engineers

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in electrical design
• Holds a PPEE certificate (Professional Practice of Electrical Engineering)
• Skilled in both power system design and weak current system design
• Extensive experience in designing large-scale office buildings
• Proven ability to independently complete entire project designs
• Familiar with Ethiopian electrical and construction standards
• Proficient in AutoCAD and other design and analysis software
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills in English
• Team-oriented, disciplined, and capable of leading design tasks
