Dashen Bank was founded by eleven visionary shareholders and veteran bankers with initial capital of Birr 14.9 million in September 1995. Upon securing license from the National Bank of Ethiopia, Dashen opened its doors for service on the 1st of January 1996 with eleven fully-fledged branches.DB/ Vacancy- 0117/23

Job Summary

The Senior Digital Business Innovation Officer is responsible for creating an innovation framework that includes generating, selecting, and implementing value-adding ideas for the Bank’s digital business. In addition, the role holder is responsible for instilling products and services to develop new services and business models beyond traditional banking.

Job Requirements

Academic & Professional Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Information System, Software Engineering
  • Business Management, Marketing Management Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or any other equivalent field.
  • Hands-on experience in digital technology and marketing of Digital product/service is an added advantage.

Experience : Minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience on similar roles.

  • Strong knowledge of the Bank’s clients and their needs.
  • Demonstrate a keen understanding of industry trends and their implications for the Bank as well as events in fast-paced markets.
  • Good knowledge of banking regulations.
  • Ability to perform a knowledge-based SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) analysis, comparing the bank’s knowledge to that of its competitors and to the knowledge required to execute the Bank’s own strategy.
  • Strong IT skills and knowledge of digital advancements.
  • Project management skills
  • Excellent potential of embracing new digital skills i.e adopting new innovations.
  • Curious to explore, find and understand new approaches.
  • Seeking continuous self-improvement.
