The Listing and Reporting Senior Analyst is responsible for overseeing the listing processes of securities, ensuring compliance with ESX listing rules, and providing comprehensive support to issuers. The role involves conducting business research and analysis, financial analysis, managing continuous disclosure requirements, and facilitating communication with listed companies, investors, and regulatory bodies. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of capital markets.

Key Responsibilities

Listing Management

• Assist in the evaluation and processing of applications for listing of securities on ESX.
• Conduct detailed financial and regulatory due diligence on potential issuers.
• Provide guidance to companies seeking to list on ESX, including pre-listing advisory support.
• Ensure timely and accurate dissemination of listing decisions and related communications.

Continuous Disclosure Monitoring

• Monitor compliance with ongoing disclosure requirements for listed companies.
• Review and analyse periodic financial reports, announcements, and other disclosures submitted by issuers.
• Provide feedback and guidance to issuers to ensure timely and accurate reporting in line with ESX standards.

Financial Analysis and Reporting

• Perform financial and operational analysis of listed companies and potential issuers to assess compliance with listing requirements.
• Prepare regular reports on market trends, issuer performance, and compliance status for internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify and report any non-compliance or irregularities by listed companies.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Liaise with issuers, brokers, and investors to provide support and clarify listing and reporting requirements.
• Assist in organizing and conducting workshops, seminars, and training sessions for issuers on listing, disclosure, and reporting obligations.
• Act as a point of contact for listed companies on listing and disclosure-related queries.

Policy and Process Improvement:

• Contribute to the development and improvement of ESX listing rules, guidelines, and operational processes.
• Support the Listing and Reporting team in drafting policies related to listing and reporting activities.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CFA, CISI, etc) is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related role, preferably in capital markets, business consulting, investment or transaction advisory, or financial analysis.
• Basic understanding of capital markets and related concepts, financial reporting standards, and Ethiopian business regulations.
• Proven experience in business and financial analysis, due diligence, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex business and financial information.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with various stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
