International Clinical Laboratories (ICL) is one of the largest of independent clinical diagnostic centers on the African continent. ICL has opened its door for service in 2004 with the aim of “contributing to the maintenance and enhancement of the quality of life throughout Ethiopia” by encompassing a system of human and physical resources designed to meet the changing healthcare needs of the population it serves.

It is the only laboratory accredited by the USA based Joint Commission International (JCI) for five times in a row. The laboratory provides more than 3000 tests in collaboration with its referral laboratories.

ICL would like to fill the following vacant positions under Finance Department We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant with specialized knowledge in the preparation of financial statements and adept management of the general ledger. The ideal candidate will possess advanced expertise in financial reporting standards, meticulous attention to detail, and a proven track record of maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires a strategic thinker who can interpret complex financial data to support decision-making processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

About You

Qualification and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with a focus on fixed asset management.
• Strong understanding of fixed asset accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

• The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing the accounting and reporting of the International Clinical Laboratories’ (ICL) fixed assets and inventories. This role ensures compliance with relevant accounting standards, maintains accurate records, and provides analysis to support retirement and/or acquisition of fixed asset decisions and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory processes and support strategic financial planning.
• The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the ICL’s fixed asset accounting. This position requires a strong background in accounting principles and a keen understanding of asset management to support the overall financial health of ICL.
• On the other hand, the Senior Accountant will also play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the organization’s inventory accounting practices. This position is key to supporting the overall financial health of ICL and requires a strong background in both accounting and inventory management.
