Job Description


The Ethiopian Business Advisory Service Providers Association (EBASPA) is a newly established association registered with FDRE Authority for Civil Society Organization and accorded legal personality with Registry Number 6441 on 22 September 2022 as a Local Organization in accordance with the Civil Society Organization Proclamation No. 1113/2019. Whilst it mission is to empower and support business service providers in Ethiopia by creating a better regulatory framework and providing services that improve consultants’ visibility, professional status, and capacity, its objectives are to:

  • increase membership base through marketing, outreach, and networking,
  • advocate for the interests of members and represent their needs to policymakers and stakeholders and
  • provide professional and business development opportunities and other services.
    EBASPA seeks to recruit competent staffs for the following vacant posts.

Responsibilities

  • Representing the association at places where the executive committee (EC) members may not be available.
  • Stand as an advocate of the association and its members at all places and occasions that are relevant to the association and its members.
  • Keeping a registry of association members.
  • Lodging financial reports with the relevant government agency.
  • Keep a copy of all inwards and outwards correspondences.
  • Maintain records of the association.
  • Identify organization needs through periodic gap assessment and report to the executive committee (EC).
  • Prepare Organizational Development strategy for EBASPA in line with the five-year strategic plan.
  • Prepare annual action plan and propose budget and get the approval of the EC.
  • Serve as an effective communicator of EBASPA through continuously liaising with members and other stakeholders giving updates and getting updates on matters that affect the association its members.
  • Ensure that all the equipment and accessories of EBASPA are operational and regularly maintained.
  • Prepare meeting agenda for the EC and get approval.
  • Take minutes of the regular and extraordinary meetings of the EC and present them for approval.
  • Prepare periodic reports of EBASPA and present them to the EC for approval.
  • Ensure that all necessary reports and other documents of EBASPA are properly filed.

Job Requirements

  • Second degree in either of Organizational Management, ICT, MIS, and or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in organizational development inclusive of responsibility in digitization, digitalization and working within professional membership organizations.
  • Passion to work with diverse groups of members and teambuilding.
  • Credible conversation and writing skill in English, C2
  • High level of computer literacy with the ability to manage and update web portal.
