Egna Legna is composed of community-based, feminist activists working on issues that migrant women domestic workers from developing countries face in the Middle East, with a particular focus on Lebanon and Ethiopia. We provide holistic solutions to the challenges that migrant domestic workers face daily through legal, housing, and food assistance, shelter and medical referrals, skills training, as well as repatriation and reintegration services. We also advocate for the rights of migrant domestic workers as women, laborers, and dignified members of society.

Responsibilities

This job requires a school administrator who has relevant experience in hairdressing and clothes designing. The school administrator will be responsible for writing the student teaching curriculum, registering Egna Legna to Ethiopia’s education ministry. Drafting students’ attendance and forms of student exams. This individual will also provide hairdressing advice and recommendations, as well as design and assist with the production of clothing. The contract lasts for a year, and may be extended by a year depending on performance.

Required skills and qualifications include:

• Minimum experience of 3 years as a school administrator for hairdressing and cloth designing.
• Fulfills Ethiopia’s education ministry requirements.
• Holds a degree in the related field (level 4).
• Has had experience with designing hair and clothes.
• Ability to work with impartiality, integrity, and discretion.
• Strong English and Amharic communication skills, both written and oral format.
• Good organizational skills.
