Job Description


Zoma Museum Private Limited Company, is an institution engaged in constructing green areas and places that can protect the natural climate through ancient architectural art and special creativity and design. The activities of the Zoma Museum include a gallery, library, children’s center, restaurant, coffee shop, gift shop, vegetables, herbs, flowers and trees garden, elementary school, amphitheater, and animal farm.

Summary

School Librarian some Responsibilities:

  • Organizing and managing the Library, ensuring its effective use by classes, groups and individuals.
  • Creating and implementing a policy for the Library which incorporates the educational aims and objectives of the school, and complies with data protection, copyright, health and safety legislation and the school’s disciplinary code.
  • Selecting, acquiring, organizing and promoting Library resources and ICT to support teaching and learning throughout the school.
  • Ensuring equality of access for all pupils and staff to high quality learning resources.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the service provided by the Library and its impact on teaching and learning.
  • Manage and supervise the pupils appointed as Librarians.
  • Order new books and catalogue them on the library MLS and AR systems.
  • Issue and control availability of books including overdue books.
  • Ensure good discipline is maintained in the Libraries.
  • Supervise break and lunch times in the Library.
  • Ensure the Libraries are kept clean and tidy.
  • Create and maintain library displays to promote books and reading.
  • Establish good relations with the pupils, encouraging reading and advising children on suitable literature depending on their ability and interests

Requirements

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, IT (information Technologies), library science or an equivalent. And have 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of books and passion for reading.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • The ability to follow instructions but also come up with original ideas.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other software systems.
