The Sales Clerk supports efficient branch operations and customer satisfaction by handling day-to-day sales activities, implementing sales strategies, and identifying growth opportunities. This role is essential for maintaining high service standards and contributing to the achievement of branch and company sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Excellence
  • Manage branch operations and ensure smooth day-to-day processes.

• Sales and Market Insight
  • Market Reporting: Provide detailed reports on market activity and penetration by surveying competitor markets, identifying trends and areas for growth.
  • Identify and assess local market trends, competitor activities, and potential sales opportunities.
  • Provide timely, accurate reports on market activity, customer feedback, and competitor penetration.
  • Schedule and record sales activities, and ensure customer data is accurately maintained.
• Customer Engagement
  • Promptly address and resolve customer complaints to uphold satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Conduct outreach to new and existing customers by phone, in person, or electronically.
  • Maintain regular follow-ups to nurture relationships and secure sales orders.
  • Assist customers with sales inquiries, product questions, and order support.
• Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing
  • Share market insights, competitive intelligence, and effective sales practices with team members to strengthen the branch’s competitive advantage.
  • Coordinate with colleagues on business opportunities, customer needs, and strategies to enhance sales effectiveness.

  • Uphold a high code of ethics, adhering strictly to all company policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all company and branch standards in daily operations.
• Reporting and Communication
  • Regularly update the Branch Manager on sales activities, customer feedback, and opportunities.
  • Prepare and submit sales reports accurately and on time to support data-driven decision-making.
• Sales Events and Special Activities
  • Participate in off-site sales events, trade shows, and other promotional activities, as directed.
  • Represent the company professionally in external engagements and build brand presence.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Degree in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience: two years Previous experience in a sales or customer service role preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; customer-centric mindset; ability to handle complaints professionally.
• Technical: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of CRM software is a plus.

• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing sales teams at a depot or regional level.
• Experience in depot or branch management is highly desirable.
