Principal duty & responsibility

• Visit to various organizations and collect information based on questionnaires form beneficiaries, representative of regional bureaus of agriculture (livestock department), research institutes and university (if any) through key informants interviews, focus group discussions
• Collect information based on questionnaires from key stakeholder’s office (electronically) and compile their major findings based on collected information
• Review available reports on existing national and regional policies and institutional arrangements, research documents, relevant sectorial strategies and plans and incorporate in the final write-up
• Write- the finding and submit the results of the work to the lead research satisfaction

Job Requirement

• The person at least have MSc in any livestock field and a minimum of 5 years’ survey (data collection) & supervising experience in various projects with specific personal qualities of initiative and innovation, independence, analytical, interpersonal, and synthesis and writing skills
• English speaking and writing skills
• Solid track records in livestock research/academic institutions & successful completion records
• Strong technical skill and experience on “ Computer Assisted Personal Information/CAPI
• Strong interpersonal communication skills, good command of English (speaking & writing)
• Knowledge of English and local language (Amharic & Afan Oromo for respective region) is advantageous
• Well organized and motivated to work
• Strong understanding of the livestock context in Ethiopia
• Knowledge of collecting both qualitative and quantitative data
