Julphar Pharmaceuticals PLC is a joint venture between Gulf Pharmaceuticals Industries (Julphar) U.A.E and MEDTECH Ethiopia, which is involved in the manufacturing of LIFE SAVING Drugs for the local Ethiopian market use as well as for export. Reporting to: Country Manager

 

Job Summary/Main Purpose:

The Regulatory Affairs Officer will be responsible for the registration of products, follow up of all issues regarding products between RA Department in the company and MOH – Ethiopia, in coordination with the Quality assurance. She/he will be accountable for the re-registration of registered products and manages the minor changes in all products with the MOH.

 

Main Responsibilities:

Under the general direction of the Country Manager, The Regulatory Affairs Officer shall carry out the following duties:

  • Registers new and existing products to the Ministry of Health in Ethiopia.
  • Requests the requirements of MOH from the RA department.
  • Revises, organizes, prepare, and submits the technical requirements to the MOH.
  • Follows up with the MOH till finalize what the company wants.
  • Coordinates with the country manager about the new products.
  • Assists in shipment release from the MOH.
  • Re-register all products that have been revised due to minor changes and further enhancements.
  • Performs tasks related to Regulatory Affairs and as instructed.

About You

Job Requirements (Education and work experience): 

Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and 2 years of experience in the related field from pharmaceutical industry.

  • Can handle team effectively.
  • Strong analytical and logical skills.
  • Excellent team player with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and under pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable with basic computer application.
  • Fluent in English and local language-Amharic both written and spoken.
  • A high degree of insistence and small details perfection are highly needed and expected.
  • Has applied understanding of a specific regulatory discipline and the principles, concepts and theories governing Regulatory Affairs.
