Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).

This Regional Procurement Manager position is part of the MN MEA RBC Procurement team and has primary responsibility for providing supply assurance for all Nokia Mobile Networks Market Services projects in Ethiopia and may support Nokia Mobile Network projects in other countries in MEA from time to time.  The Regional Procurement Manager will be involved in costing and supply of 3rd party supplier Mobile Networks Services for pre-sales and projects.  Interfaces with MN MEA RBC Services Solution Development Presales, MN MEA RBC MS Customer Delvery Managers and Project Directors.

What you will learn and contribute to

  • Accountable and responsible for all procurement activities towards CT and project requirements from bid phase until project closing.
  • Analyze supply market, anticipate changes and drive associated procurement activities.
  • Evaluate contracts (with support of the L&C) and suppliers. Make final supplier base decisions with relevant stakeholders. Supplier selection, negotiations and contracting for the agreed category using S2P execute / S2P process.
  • Coordinate supplier contracts transfer between Procurement and Project Contract Mgr.
  • Ensure compliance with for regulatory, legal requirements, SOX and procurement policies.
  • Implement sustainable total cost of ownership, should cost analysis and benchmarking.
  • Ensure category & supplier strategy implement in projects including inputs to SMPM
  • Create & maintain Project Procurement Plans (PPP) or Country Procurement Plan (CPP) if lead RPM.
  • Procurement KPI Performance Management.
  • Define supplier market share, aligned with CPP, Rollout Plans and Supplier Status
  • Is  the supplier manager for local suppliers. Maintains relationships (SRM) with project suppliers.
  • Mediation and dispute handling between project suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Create performance improvement plans with support from experts
  • Coordinate Supplier Readiness based on coming demand, synchronizing with stakeholders and ensure suppliers are ready to execute rollout plans. Monitor Supplier capacity for Rollout and solve potential GAPs with support from stakeholders
  • Execution of the Claim management negotiations with supplier, with support from project
  • Control Technical and Capacity Assessments (executed by projects)
  • Support PO process / issues coming from Suppliers, including supporting suppliers on Invoicing / Payment Issues when applicable. (Accountability under Accounts Payable team)
  • Excellent knowledge of local supplier base for Telecom Industry

 Your skills and experience

Experienced professional with a minimum of 5 years of relevant procurement experience in:

  • Deployment of relevant telecom rollout projects
