ABOUT TRIDENT EDUCATIONAL CONSULTANTS

Trident Educational Consultants is a growing international education consultancy firm based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. We specialize in connecting Ethiopian students and professionals with universities and educational institutions across Europe and North America. We are expanding our team and seeking a highly motivated, English-fluent professional to serve as the first point of contact for our clients and a key driver of our international communications.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Receptionist & International Communications Officer will manage front-desk operations, receive clients, and actively liaise with international partner institutions on behalf of the company. This is a dual-function role combining professional reception with meaningful international outreach — ideal for a candidate with excellent English, strong organizational skills, and genuine interest in global education.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet and assist walk-in clients, students, and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Manage all incoming calls, emails, and correspondence in both English and Amharic
  • Liaise with international partner institutions and overseas contacts via email and video call on behalf of management
  • Draft, proofread, and send professional English correspondence to international partner organizations and institutions
  • Maintain organized records of partner agreements, student inquiries, and application files
  • Coordinate appointments, meetings, and follow-ups between management and international partners
  • Assist with preparation of visa support letters, official documents, and consultancy materials
  • Support the management team with administrative and day-to-day operational office duties
  • Monitor and respond to office email accounts in a timely and professional manner

Maintain a tidy, organized, and professional front-office environment at all times

About You

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in any relevant field (English Language, International Relations, Business Administration, or similar preferred)

English: Excellent written and spoken English — this is a core, non-negotiable requirement; candidates will be assessed on this during the interview

Communication: Strong interpersonal skills, professional phone manner, and formal email etiquette

Computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general internet and email tools

Character: Presentable, reliable, detail-oriented, punctual, and proactive

Experience: 0–2 years of experience in a receptionist, customer service, or administrative role (fresh graduates with excellent English are welcome to apply)

Languages: Amharic (native or fluent) and English (excellent) both required
