Job Overview:

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of our construction projects, ensuring value for money while adhering to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for construction projects.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for project viability.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and manage project costs from inception to completion.
  • Ensure accurate measurement and valuation of work done on-site.
  • Manage subcontractor and supplier relationships, including procurement and contract negotiation.
  • Prepare and review contract documents, including tenders and contract agreements.
  • Monitor project expenditures and prepare cost reports for management.
  • Advise on legal and contractual issues, including claims and dispute resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
    Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and tools (e.g., CostX, MS Project).
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
