Job Description


Jerusalem Children and Community Development Organization (JeCCDO) is an Ethiopian Resident Charity Organization working for the wellbeing of children, women and youth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all financial matters related to the project across the Amhara, Afar, and Tigray regions, ensuring compliance with JeCCDO’s financial policies and Donor regulations.
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets, ensuring alignment with project objectives and Donor requirements.
  • Ensure timely submission of financial reports to Donors, including budget forecasts, expense reports, and cash flow projections.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies in all project-related financial activities, including the purchase of goods and services.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with donor regulations.

Job Requirement

   Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced/Master’s Degree is preferred.

 Experience:  

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, with a focus on Donor-funded projects, preferably in the humanitarian sector.
  • Experience in managing large budgets, particularly for multi-region projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Donor compliance, particularly with International Donors such as the Federal Foreign Office.
  • Proficiency in financial management software, including accounting and budgeting tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel).
  • Fluency in English and Amharic. Knowledge of additional local languages is an asset.

Duty station: Addis Ababa, with travel to project sites in Amhara, Afar, and Tigray regions

Condition of employment-:  One year contract with possibility of extension based on performances and continuity of the project.
