Job Description


Job Summary

Prepares and submits project status reports to health specialist. Schedules and conducts project meetings to include logistics, agendas, and meeting minutes. Conducts regularly scheduled project status update.

Role and Responsibilities Project

  • Coordinate the work of the team and manage operational matters
  • Assess the potential risks for outbreak (active surveillance)
  • Regularly update the woreda/zonal on immediately and weekly reportable disease
  • Facilitate and lead with woreda/ zonal or outbreak response, if outbreak is confirmed by the higher level.
  • Assess, identify and effectively utilize community-based communication platforms for health promotion and disease prevention by engaging HEWs in the area.
  • Ensure program implementation is in line with the planned budget, conducting training and monitoring effective implementation of program.
  • The PC will take project work plan and translate it in to day to day action plan

Reporting

  • Ensure a daily quantitative and qualitative reporting is made through specific reporting tools (Assessment Form, Intake Form, etc.).
  • Provide Report to the Health specialist in a timely manner.

Job Requirement

Required Qualifications, Experience, Skill and Knowledge

  • Education: MPH, RH, and Master in Epidemiology or related health field of study with 3 years of experience in related field and NGO experience in the field.
  • Ability to manage projects, set realistic priorities, and plan for the successful implementation of activities.
  • Practical experience in training design and implementation.
  • Demonstrated experience in training design, delivery, and mentoring in the subject matter relevant to this position.
  • Strong communication skill
  • Excellent Problem-solving skill
  • Have experience with project budget
  • Has experience of MHNT leadership
  • Good written and spoken ability of the local language
  • No. required: 3
