About the job

Contributes to the development of Complimentary Intervention (CIV)-strategy, implementation oversight, and monitoring of CIV. Uses data for CIV needs analysis, monitoring intervention effectiveness, and collecting learnings that lead to improved intervention effectiveness and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees a moderate-to-high complex and/or technical portfolio of Complimentary Intervention CIV)-related interventions.
  • Contributes to the development of annual CIV strategy, design, implementation oversight, and monitoring of the CIV portfolio.
  • Manages the design, implementation, and monitoring of all Youth Friendly Services and Skills Development, small-scale Integrated Livelihoods Support, Youth IGAs, Non-Formal Education (NFE), and Family Empowerment interventions.
  • Consults and collaborates with PFs to ensure CIV records are made available in Connect.
  • Works on quality assurance of all proposals developed and reports.
  • Uses data for needs analysis, monitoring intervention effectiveness, and collecting learnings that lead to improved intervention effectiveness and continuous improvement.
  • Provides expertise regarding the development of CIV implementation guide. Applies local industry practices and connects others to potential local resources.
  • Serves as a field office and partners’ SME to consult and/or mentor on their areas of expertise; may also serve as regional SME on a limited basis.”

Requirements

Education : A Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies, Economics, Social Studies, Development Management, Policy Studies, or relevant field of studies

Experience : Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to write and manage interventions/grants
  • Ability to review/analyse information, reach conclusions and make relevant decisions/recommendations
  • Ability to think programmatically and make recommendations/decisions based on this
  • Ability to support FCPs with selection and design of CIV interventions
  • Ability to coordinate and facilitate discussions across multiple working groups
  • Ability to collaborate well both internally & externally
  • Ability to demonstrate servant leadership & live out Compassion’s Partnership Principles in supporting Frontline Church Partners
  • Ability to network with other ministries & organizations
  • Ability to represent Compassion on a professional level
  • Ability to communicate (verbal & written) in a clear and effective manner
  • Innovation and creativity skill
  • Strategic Management skill

Working Environment

  • Office – Standard Office Environment
  • Physical Demands Sitting, standing, and/or walking for up to 8 hours per day
  • Travel Requirements
  • May be required to travel up to 10% of normal schedule
