Job Summary

Under the general direction of the plant Manager, plans, directs coordinates and controls the production activities and the food safety management system; ensures that raw materials and other production inputs are fulfilled adequately and in a timely manner and that production is carried out efficiently; evaluates the performance of the various production units of the company.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • · Organizes, plans, directs, coordinates and controls the daily activities of production function;
  • · Ensures that adequate raw materials, facilities and other production inputs are made available on time;
  • · Implements the strategic plan and the Food Safety Management System of the Company;
  • · Evaluates the performance of the production process and takes corrective measures, as necessary;
  • · Ensures the optimal capacity utilization of production machinery;
  • · Develops and implements the necessary input material balance of the company products;
  • · Ensures that products produced meet the requirements of the customers, the Food Safety Management System of the company and other applicable standards;
  • · Monitors and verifies the overall GHP, GMP and FSMS of the plant;
  • · Develops and implements schemes to improve and enhance customer satisfaction;
  • · Develops and implements schemes to improve and enhance the efficiency of the production process;
  • · Ensures that production procedures and instructions are properly implemented;
  • · Participants in workers in skill upgrading programs;
  • · Develops and implements, in cooperation with all those concerned safety schemes for the plan and workers;
  • · Supervises and evaluates the performance of workers under the division;
  • · Prepares and submits periodic performance reports;
  • · Performs other related duties as required.

Job Requirements

COMPETENCIES:

  • · Knowledge of ISO Quality Management and Food Safety Management System
  • · Knowledge of process control systems and production planning
  • · Knowledge of Occupational safety Schemes
  • · Ability to plan, Coordinate and follow up of activities
  • · Ability to organize and analyze data
  • · Communication skill
  • · Organization and supervisory skill
  • · Analytical skill

QUALIFICATIONS: – · B.Sc. in Food science, Chemical/Industrial Engineering

Experience: –  · 3 years of relevant experience respectively
