Organic Liquid Fertilizer Producing PLC (known by the trade name ‘Eco Green’) is a legal entity registered in 2008 in accordance with Commercial Registration and Business License Proclamation number 980/2008 of the FDRE. As the name indicates, the Company produces 100% ORGANIC Liquid Fertilizer which is rich in microbes, improves soil fertility, increases the productivity and quality of the crop, and significantly cuts fertilizer costs. It has been bestowed different national and international awards including, but not limited to, “Prestigious Science Innovation Award in 2007 E.C.” from the hands of the former FDRE Prime Minister H/Mariam Desalegn, “Climate Innovation Prize in 2009 E.C” from Ethiopian Climate Innovation Centre, and “The Best Entrepreneurship of the year Award in 2015 G.C.” from UNDP.

Here now, we would like to hire energetic and vibrant person for our factory Production Manager:

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and controls the overall production process of the company;
• Ensure the day to day achievement of the required performance by securing all required support in the company from different work units and teams;
• Establishes and ensure adherence of work culture and ethics in the production plan by all work unit’s staffs;
• Administer and lead all subordinates in the production process;
• Coordinate and motivate subordinates through training, involvement and other mechanism;
• Ensure the proper function of the production plant by scheduling and conducting preventive and normal maintenance program on timely basis;
• E Ensures proper utilization of resources by minimizing waste;
• Initiate, follow the purchase and ensure storage of required sensitive/critical spare parts on timely basis in the store;
• Ensure the proper function of the production plant;
• Request purchase of required raw materials level based on the required quantity and production
• plan after joint discussion with all concerned work units;
• Propose cost effective and productive method of production for the company;
• Ensure the production of all products of required quantity;
• Submits performance reports to the General Manager monthly, quarterly, annually and as necessary;
• Facilitate training to subordinates about the production plant, safety, healthy, production process and other related issues on continuous basis;
• Ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the production process assures the proper handling and usage of the production plant by all staffs;; and Performs other related duties as required.

Educational and skills required

• First degree in Biochemistry, Applied Biology, Applied Chemistry or Agricultural Economics and with at least five years of experiences as production manager in reputable manufacturing company or second Degree in Biochemistry, Applied Biology, Applied Chemistry with at least 3 years of working experience as production manager.
• Proven experience as production manager.
• Deep knowledge of production management and technical person.
• Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations.
• Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts.
• Experience in reporting on key production metrics.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Outstanding communication ability
• Excellent organizational and leaderships skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.
