Job Description


Place of Work: Addis Ababa

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION

  • Administers contracts and Service Level Agreement and follows-up their proper execution to ensure timely delivery of ordered goods/works/services by vendors;
  • Prepares FCY approval requests for international purchases and follows-up the proceeding;
  • Processes the opening of L/C for international purchases;
  • Follows up and handles timely renewal of performance, advance payments & warranty bonds;
  • Prepares payment certificate, co-signs and effects payments to suppliers;
  • Administers warranties for contracts that have warranty coverage;
  • Prepares appeal response proposals;
  • Processes clearance of purchases undertaken directly from foreign sources;
  • Follows-up payment and timely settle purchase receivables;
  • Ensures all activities are done in line with the Bank’s Procurement policy, procedure and working manual;
  • Prepares Bid document;
  • Prepares bid invitations and/or announcement letters;
  • Prepares and sending E-quotation request for short listed suppliers & pro forma collection;

JOB REQUIREMENT

Qualifications: BA in Procurement Management, Management, Accounting, Business Administration, and any other related fields.

Experience: 3 years of experience in the Banking Industry of which 1 year as Junior Procurement Officer or related experience.
