Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).

The Radio NPO engineer will be involved in delivering planning and optimization solutions on the latest Nokia Radio technology deployments within Africa.

Engagements will include design, deployment, analysis and optimization of radio network parameters.

As part of our team, you will:

•  Deliver radio deployment and optimization across Nokia scope in Ethiopia
•  Consults and develops for a medium or complex network configuration file, capacity planning, network interface analysis, and provide overall engineering support
•  Customer Requirement Engagement
• Recommend and implement RF parameters on sites to be deployed/integrated into the network
• CIQ Planning and planning inputs requirements for modernization and layer expansions

Your skills and experience

You have:

• Minimum: Bachelor’s degree (Electrical / Telecommunication) or corresponding experience
•  Good 4G & 5G understanding in Radio Network Planning and Optimization (NPO), minimum 3 years’ experience
• Knowledge and practice of Nokia RAN, eNB/gNB parameters, features and counters 

It would be nice if you also had:

•  Radio NPO experience in either 2G or 3G
• E2E understanding of SRAT & SRAN planning principles & SW/HW Knowledge
• Knowledge of access and IP planning/packet ABIS
• CIQ Planning and planning inputs required for modernization and layer expansions
• E2E understanding of BB Dimensioning guidelines for new technology/layer additions
