Overall Purpose:

•  Take photos & video clips all ARAHA’s field office projects & activities.
• Prepare a visual/audio report to for promoting ARAHA.
• Assist in the overall marketing and media strategy of ARAHA

Duties & Responsibilities:

• The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative, but not all inclusive, of those the Photojournalist will be expected to undertake and carry out:
• Take professional pictures and video clips of each ARAHA’s project with a focus and priority on marketing photos.
• Create appealing video clip about each project from A to Z to be sent to funders and to be used for ARAHA’s website and social media outlets.
• Take GPS coordinates for each project location and email it along with the pictures & video clips.
• Create appealing text message about each project to be used in ARAHA’s website, Facebook, twitter, and other social media outlet along with the pictures and video clips. These messages to be sent to our marketing coordinator.
• Upload and send all pictures and video clips to HQ on a timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned by Marketing coordinator, Program Director, and Executive Director.
• Perform all duties in a manner to maintain the positive image of ARAHA

Job Requirement

Knowledge & Skills:

• Background in professional photography, preferably with experience in Photojournalism with a media outlet company or non-profit organization.
• Preferably a bachelor’s degree in the photography or media field.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
• Great attention to Details and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with photo & video editing software such as photo shop, premiere pro, after effects,  Light room, final cut or similar.

Work experience: Minimum of one year. Recent graduates in photography field are welcome to apply.

Duty Station: Addis Ababa with frequent travel to project sites
