THE OPPORTUNITY

The role will support the Lead, Gender & Youth Engagement during the maternity leave of the Partner, Gender & Youth Engagement.

WAYS YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE

  • Support gender mainstreaming in programs.
  • Support program leads to develop their Individual Gender Action Plan and support the development of Gender Action Plan for team Ethiopia.
  • Support identifying and onboarding gender anchor partner.
  • Support the launching of the national Youth Advisory Group at the Foundation.
  • Support the establishment and maintenance of youth advisory committees with partners.
  • Map organizations that are youth-led and youth-focused.
  • Support and guide partners on the best way to invest on and involve young people in the program.
  • Collaborate with the team to identify, document, and mobilize youth engagement and inclusiveness-related insight and learning from the Foundation’s work.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Science.
  • Three to five year’s of working experience in a similar environment
  • Demonstrated strong interest and knowledge in the practice of women’s empowerment and gender equality issues.
  • Good writing skill is an advantage.
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills in English is mandatory.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize several tasks at the same time working in a dynamic environment.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to execute a range of job duties and changing priorities.
  • Possess excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to articulate information to a variety of constituents across cultures.
  • Possess professional maturity, sensitivity with different cultures, and impeccable integrity that exemplify the Foundation’s values.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to Mastercard Foundation’s values and vision.
