Job Description


Purpose of The Job

We are looking for operation Manager to lead Hotel pre-opening team. The manager will be responsible for overseeing the performance of each department that mainly includes housekeeping, food and beverage (F&B), front desk, admins & finance. The manager ensures that each department fulfils its role and enabling the entire hotel to run efficiently under highest possible standards of friendliness and cleanliness for the Guests. Responsible for leading the hotel management team in achieving their stated operational and financial goals including managing labor and overall financial performance

Key Duties/Job descriptions

Key Job Functions

  • Provides leadership and directs day to day operations of the hotel.
  • Establishes systems & procedures to protect all hotel assets.
  • Closely monitor the hotels business reports on a daily basis and take decisions accordingly.
  • Maximizes revenues by establishing & achieving revenue & cost control objectives, which will meet or exceed profit goals.
  • Prepare a monthly financial reporting for the owners and stake holders.
  • Observe and monitor supervisor’s/staff performance to make sure that hotel rules and procedures are being followed.
  • Develops and implements inventory control and oversees budget management.
  • Develops, approves, and implements Maldyor hotel Business Plan.
  • In consultation of Hotel Director, lead the selection, coaching, training and orients all staff to meet the hotel standards.
  • Verbal and written counselling and performance review is performed in a timely fashion.
  • Regularly monitor the quality of services and adjust the hotel service accordingly in consultancy with the hotel senior management.
  • Provide a mandatory and prompt response to emergency situations
  • Perform any other roles as may be assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.

Reporting To: Managing Director/CEO

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • BA In Hotel Management /Management or related field of study.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Hotel industry and at least three years in similar function.
  • Experience in a hotel start up is an added advantage.
