Job Description


The Save the Children Fund, commonly known as Save the Children, was established in the United Kingdom in 1919 to improve the lives of children through better education, health care, and economic opportunities, as well as providing emergency aid in natural disasters, war, and other conflicts. After passing a century, which it celebrated in 2019,[3] it is now a global movement made up of 29 national member organizations which work in 120 countries.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Report to: Supply chain Assistant

Dimensions: All staff

Key area of accountability

  • As per the agreed flexible working schedule daily clean, and keep the sanitation, the cleanliness and hygiene of the office complex to the best satisfaction of the organization.
  • Ensure the safety of all working equipment issued to him/her for sanitation and safety of the organization
  • Check all the property in the compound and ensure that everything is in good shape Wash and iron office curtain and similar utilities
  • Check all doors and windows, light and water, stoves and refrigerators with in the office compound to ensure that they are closed/or locked after being cleaned
  • Report to the immediate supervisor cases of theft defect of light and doors and windows in the compound, leakage of water pipes and damage of fences
  • Ensure effective and efficient use of all save the children resources in order to keep costs low and ensure the security of the staff
  • Comply with all relevant Save the children policies and procedures with respect to child protection, health and safety, security, equal opportunity and other relevant policy.
  • Support Admin activities and Documentation
  • Taking calls from customers and delivering messages while also using basic office equipment like faxes or scanners

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Completion of 12th grade or 10th grade with current education system

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience and NGO experience is preferable
    Good spoken of Afaan Oromo and English language
    Good interpersonal skill
    Experience of File Scanning and Documentation
    Commitment to and understanding of Save the children’s aim, values and principles
