Job Description


Rorank Business S.C. is a joint venture with a UK base company called Castleford Holding Investment Groups. We manufacture and distribute our flagship brands, Super Eagle and Crystal are renowned for their great taste and quality. Our new leading-edge manufacturing and bottling facility is in Cha Cha – Debre Birhan. Rorank would like to invite internal and external applicants to apply and compete for the position of National Sales Manager.

PRIMARY PURPOSE

To leverage people resources to enhance sustainable growth in brand equity, sales volume and market share, competitive advantage, and corporate reputation.

KEY RESULT AREAS AND OUTCOMES

OUTPUTS

  • Identify new business opportunities. develop sales strategies and set sales targets. provide feedback and coaching to team members. monitor the team’s performance and motivate them to reach targets.
  • Designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence.

EXPECTED RESULTS

  • Market potential study analyzed for the Country to maximize sales volume and exploit availability and volume opportunities;
  • Country brand and channel plans aligned with Marketing strategy; Develop and align country sales strategy.

Planning and Execution

  • Plans developed and aligned to Marketing and Channel strategies; Sales forecast produced, Sales and Operations targets set, Country plan aligned throughout subordinate chain; Plans and results communicated at Management meetings;
  • In-trade audits planned and conducted; Competitor activities monitored, and appropriate responses made.

Information Systems

  • Information systems fully utilized; Authenticity and currency of information checked;
  • Information security maintained in accordance with Company policy.

Performance Management

  • Performance management implemented; Employees developed; Ensure a safe and healthy working environment;
  • Healthy IR climate ensured; Personnel processes applied;
  • Workplace communication effected;
  • Team performance optimized;
  • Ensure direct reports are managed and aware of their goals and KPI’s;
  • Ensure direct reports have periodic performance review;
  • Ensure all staff adhere to Rorank’s policies and procedures.

Reporting

  • Ensure daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly required reports are submitted accurately and timeously; follow reports on credit sales; cash collection; and management of debts toughly checked, and reports presented.

Financial Control

  • Annual fixed cost budget is set and aligned to requirements and approved;
  • Essential Capital investments identified; Costs controlled; Credit policy implemented and managed; Monthly financial results scrutinized and variances to budget investigated; Distributors profit, and loss managed and presented for corporate decisions.

Marketplace competitiveness : Customer service ethos developed and implemented; Customer relationships developed and leverage; Customer service performance managed; Corporate reputation managed.

Internal Communication Contacts: CEO, Commercial director; Regional Sales Managers, Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Marketing and Production

External Communication Contacts: Customers (Distributors, Stuckists and Retail), Consumers, Suppliers, Stakeholders

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Min: Undergraduate Degree in Marketing/Logistics/Business management
  • Ideal: Undergraduate Degree in Marketing/Logistics/Business and MBA

Legal:

  • Min: Driver’s License
  • Ideal: Driver’s License and best driving skills

Language:

  • Min: Amharic and English
  • Ideal: Amharic, English, and languages of other nations in Ethiopia

Experience:

  • Min: five years in a similar position within the FMCG arena and continual professional progress in the industry?
  • Ideal: +5 years in a similar position within the beverage arena

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

Familiarity with the industry; Strong financial acumen; Team player with excellent interpersonal skills; Goal driven; Assertive; Good self-management skill; Presentation skills; Travel 40% of the time (2 out of 5 days per week; Ability to work under pressure; Ability to Multi-task; Good communication skills, both verbal and written; Consulting/Negotiating skill
