Joining our team of experts as a Monitoring and Evaluation Expert, you will be playing a crucial role in overseeing and leading the monitoring and evaluation activities of the organization and its various projects. The M&E Expert will provide technical guidance and support to the various departments, staff and partners in the various MEL activities. The M&E Expert will develop and implement M&E strategies, tools, and systems to measure the effectiveness and impact of the organization’s various programs and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks, plans, and systems to track the progress and impact of programs and projects
  • Develop and implement data collection, analysis, and reporting tools and processes to ensure timely & accurate data collection, management, and analysis
  • Lead the design and implementation of research and evaluation studies to measure the impact of programs and projects
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the M&E team, program staff, and partners to ensure quality and timely data collection, analysis, and reporting
  • Ensure that M&E activities comply with the organization’s policies, procedures, and donor requirements
  • Manage and oversee the M&E team, providing guidance, coaching, and feedback to team members to ensure their professional growth and development
  • Produce regular reports and briefings on the progress and impact of programs and projects to the organization’s leadership and donors
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners, stakeholders, and donors to share knowledge and best practices in M&E.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a master’s Degree in the relevant field of study (Development Policy, Management, Statistics, Economics, Business
  • Administration, or related field)
  • At least 8 – 10 years of relevant progressively advancing professional experience in monitoring and evaluation of multi-year and nation-wide projects at national and international organizations;
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing M&E frameworks, plans, and systems
  • Solid technical knowledge and practical experience of the application of RBM and development effectiveness principles and value-for-money approaches;
  • Track record of successfully working with government and development partners on development agendas;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with partners, stakeholders, and development partners;
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis with a demonstrated ability to analyze and solve complex problems and implement change;
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness, initiative and judgment;
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment;
  • Ability to travel to project sites and meetings, as needed;
  • Computer literacy – MS Office applications, web-based management information systems.
