The team you’ll be part of

Our Business Group is a leader in wireless mobility networks and associated services. With more than 3.500 patent families essential for 5G we have a strong 5G portfolio and are a front runner in open and virtualized radio access networks (O-RAN and vRAN).

The Radio NPO engineer will be involved in delivering planning and optimization solutions on the latest Nokia Radio technology deployments within Africa.

Engagements will include design, deployment, analysis and optimization of radio network parameters.

We seek an engineer who can solve problems based on detailed analytical thought and complex judgment

What You Will Learn And Contribute To

Are you passionate about solving problems and driving novel RAN deliveries across Africa?

As part of our team, you will focus on:

• Microwave Frequency allocation and interference analysis using pathloss tool
• Microwave Capacity calculations according to Radio requirements
• Coordination with Radio, acquisition and LOS team for site candidates
• LOS reports validation
• Internal and external coordination with Customer and Nokia deployment teams
• Participation in internal workshops, trainings and team meetings for competence development and knowledge sharing activities

Requirements

Your Skills And Experience

• B.Sc. Degree in Computer, Electronics, Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent disciplines,
• Strong understanding of Microwave Technology
• Strong understanding of Microwave Design & Planning techniques
• High level knowledge of Nokia Microwave Systems & configurations
• Experience of Microwave Design & planning activities & Tools (Pathloss 4.0, Pathloss 5.0)
• Knowledge of Spider Tool is a plus
• Ability to understand new technology concepts and subjects easily
• Self-development and fast learner
• Excellent communication skills verbal & written and documentation
• Ability to organize and lead meeting with customer
• Team player, and able to work on own initiative
• Ability to manage conflicts
