Job Description


Duties

Setup production machines with the required settings ensure all equipment, folders, and work-aids are prepared prior to style changeover.

Arrange sewing machines as per layout plan and ensure production machines are operating properly after style changeover.

Conduct regular machine maintenance work (e.g. lubricating, cleaning, etc.) as per the machine preventative maintenance SOP.  Identify, report, and rectify issues that may affect future production.

Conduct required machine repair/replacement work in an organized and timely manner as per the repair procedure SOP.

Provide basic maintenance training to sewing operators and monitor their compliance with the preventative maintenance SOP.

Assist technical support team to determine if sewing defects or low efficiency is machine-related and propose/implement adjustments where appropriate.

Develop the preventative maintenance schedule for the assigned sewing lines / Production Unit.

Assist in the implementation of new work aids, machine modifications, and automation design to enhance production efficiency/quality and support new methods developed.

Job Requirements

Education:

First Degree in Mechanic /Electrical /Electro-mechanical Engineering and related fields or Diploma in a related field.

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of experience as a mechanic in the garment industry.

Additional Requirements

Experience in repairing machines like Single needle, buttonhole, chain stitch, overlock, Button sew (LBH-1790, MH-380, VM-1804, AMS-210, AZ-8500, MS-1190, MB-1800 or LK-1903), also machines like Straight Knife, fusing machines (EASTMAN 627/9x, EC-3 End Cutter Machine, MF 9.5 die-cut, SF-2000, SVT-3760, URANO 2011, Armhole machines and who has electrical knowledge.
