Job Description


Kegna Beverages Share Company is the company which is under formation and working hard to engross in the Beverage Industry of Ethiopia that is incredibly untapped yet and fast growing.

The Company, officially endorsed on 04 March 2017 by the recommendation and promoter Committee selection of the Public Private Partnership Council of the Oromia Regional State. The promoter committee has been in contact since then frequently on the formal establishment of Kegna Beverages and on fulfilling local legal requirements of company formation, finalizing multiple discipline viability tests and studies and ground preparation for the official launching and foreign direct investment search, and approaches.

Kegna Beverages Share Company officially launched on 01 April 2017 at the Oromo Cultural Center at the Presence of higher Oromia Regional State Officials, Bank Representatives, Local Investors, invited Foreign Investors, Invited guests and Medias. The multiple studies which are mostly finalized as of now (Feasibility Study, Civil and Construction works assessment, Geotechnical, hydrology and topography analysis) on the primarily selected site of the production are finalized and ready to show the picture of the investment as of now.

Role Description

We are looking for Material Planner who will be responsible, for ensuring consistent supply of materials to plant to satisfy production volumes. Managing the Stock and flow of Raw, Packaging and Auxiliary materials from import as well as from local suppliers. Material planners ensure there is no disruption to production and sales and needs to act on all deviations caused internally or externally.

  • Manager, Planning

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the existence optimum stock level at brewery and supplier
  • Handle materials management for production, promotions and sales, including phase-in and phase-out planning
  • Be responsible for systems and master data maintenance
  • Adjust safety stock level in line with risk involved (Risk i.e. BB, Warehouse space, Seasonal consumption etc.).
  • Translate monthly allocated demand plan to material planning. Analyze the potential risk of change in demined plan vs material availability and report the impact to line manager or escalate the issue during weekly supply review meeting.
  • Analyze actual consumption for all production material vs planed and Investigate reason for short term variations, lead alignment calls with brewery for variation between and come up with conclusion. (Monthly or quarterly).
  • Quickly identify critical items and raise the issue within S&OP cycle as to senior management, when necessary.
  • Follow up the stock, BBF and Order of Inbound Materials of the breweries and manage it effectively and efficiently together with breweries and central Quality team.
  • Ensure production materials need for new projection planned properly (e.g. NPIs, Promotional production materials, change in artwork or design, Change in production materials etc.)
  • Make sure the BOM used for Material planning aligned with actual consumption on the shop floor.
  • Incorporate the impact of change in BOM on production materials availability and escalate the risk proactively.
  • Update the MRP file weekly basis and lead Weekly supply review meeting by delivering timely and accurate information.
About You

Education

  • MA/MSC/BA/BSC in Supply Chain Management
  • Economies/ Statistics or related fields of study

Experience

  • 4/6yrs of relevant experience in beverage industries

Skills

  • Strong technical skills in data analysis and synthesizing
  • Planning, monitoring and evaluation
  • Emotional maturity
  • Computer literate in especially business applications
