Specific duties and responsibilities

• Participate in the development and implementation of standards and guidelines of Business Continuity Management;
• Manage database performance monitoring activities by undertaking performance tuning of the database for smooth running of services
• Design and implement procedures for database backup and recovery (Data and File)
• Ensure database backup and recovery is tested regularly based on approved procedure;
• Evaluate application requirements and assist in the technical design of databases based on their requirements;
• Specify user roles and user access levels for each segment of database.
• Evaluate software interfaces related to the DBMS; involve in the analysis, design, and integration of database systems with other systems;
• Ensure proactive measures are taken to avoid performance degradation and service interruption;
• Ensure audit trial files are maintained for possible identification of intentional or unintentional improper operation on the database.
• Continuously monitor the data replication between the Data Centre and Disaster Recovery site and their synchronization.

To support the smooth and secure functioning of the Bank’s day to day operations by leading the effective administration of the Bank’s Enterprise Database Management Systems.

Job Requirement

Qualification & Experience:

• Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information System, Information Science, Software Engineering Electrical Engineering or related field with six(6)/eight(8) years of relevant work experience; of which two years of experience should be at Principal or Senior Officer.
• Specialist experience in information technology and banking sector
• Certified with oracle database management software and preferable experience on oracle RAC architecture.
• PL/SQL programming in Oracle database management
