JOB SUMMERY

Key working relationships

The Post holder will have key working relationships with and directly responsible to the Board. The Post holder will also interact with other PHE-EC staff, members of the consortium, donor partners and government offices.

Key accountabilities

  • Effective implementation of the organization’s strategic plan and delivery on major outcomes, impacts of IPHE programs
  • Effective and efficient Human and resources mobilization and proper use
  • Organizational development(HR and systems) and continuing being impactful at policy and practice levels
  • For the establishment of functional and influential partnership, networking among national and international members, partners and stakeholders as well as beneficiaries
  • Building vibrant members having sufficient skill and knowledge in areas of IPHE advocacy, communication and knowledge management

JOB REQUIREMENT

Educational qualification :

MSc in areas of Environmental Science with a mix of professional advanced short term courses in the areas of leadership, strategic planning, gender, communication, public health, advocacy and policy development, public administration, and other social sciences related disciplines

Professional experiences

  • At least 15 years of NGO work experiences and possibly who served at leadership and management positions level for five yearswith:
  • Proven hands-on experiences in designing and leading Integrated Population, Health and Environment Programs
  • Significant experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex policy and IPHE development programs
  • Expertise in, or experience managing, complex, multi-sectoral integrated programs implanted in a consortium modality knowledge and rich experiences of engagement in national and international -level policy advocacy and development,
  • Strong track record in engaging with a myriad of stakeholders across government, academics and donor bodies both nationally and internationally
  • Proven track records of networking, advocacy and fundraising, joint program/project planning and implementation
  • Experiences of working in multi-socio-cultural setups and policy environments,
  • Experiences of working with teams of diverse experiences and qualifications
  • Proven track record of national-level engagement in leading different national-level platforms and working groups
  • Particular experience in fostering relationships at the highest level of government, with the ability to nfluence decision-making
  • Proven experiences of organizational and program evaluation and review
  • Very good understanding and knowledge of national and international policy and legal contexts
  • Commanding ability in effective and strategic management of Human (recruitment, mentorship, termination) and financial resources,(transactions, procurements of goods and service, audit, etc.)

Length of contract :One-yearcontract (with possible renewable based on performance and availability of fund)

LOCATION: ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA

For MBA/MA/MSc Degree applicants:

Male applicants must have a CGPA of 3.25 and above in their first degree and CGPA of 3.50 and above in their MBA/MA/ MSC Degree
Female applicants must have a CGPA of 3.00 and above in their first degree and CGPA of 3.25 and above in their MBA/MA/ MSC Degree MBA/MA/MSc applicants must have acquired Very Good/B+ and above in their thesis
