Job Description

In addition to our Brewery in Gondar, we have a new leading edge Brewery at Debre Birhan, the first of its kind in Africa. Given the continued growth and future expansion of Dashen Breweries, the following opportunity exist.

Job summary:

Responsible for sales execution standards in the selected number of outlets within the Key Distributor territory. Secure orders, availability, stock pressure and LOS within the key outlets in the designated key market identified

Location: Chiro, Dilla, Moyale, Negelle, Yirgalem Alaba, Karamile, Metehara Jigjiga, wolkite,Gambella,Dima, Nekemete

Responsibilities:

1.   Plan Daily Call Activities

  • Assess distributor’s daily stock situation
  • Take appropriate action to deal with stock shortages / aged stock at the distributor
  • clearly define route schedule and follow with previous outlet call information
  • Set and priorities Call objectives for outlets prior to calling.
  • Identify new customer key information/ characteristics which should be known within the territory.

2.   Follow the steps of the Call

  • Treat all outlet staff with respect and importance of the clarification of objectives
  • Apply Refrigerator policy regarding the storage of food or opposition products
  • Check Stock levels in outlet for company brands and competitor brands
  • Check Stock age in trade and take action for stock that is about to expire or has expired.
  • Monitor quality defects in the trade and take actions if defects are found.
  • Check stock stored in store rooms as per standard storage procedures and do quality checks on stock in storerooms.
  • Competitor activities including pricing, service levels and tactics noted
  • Take actions to counter competitor threats for outlets in the territory
  • Apply promotional standards and understand the impact of sub-standard implementation
  • Develop trust relationships and advocacy with customers

3.   Apply sales systems

  • Monitor and track asset placement and maintenance by outlet.
  • Capture Call information accurately during the call

Job Requirements

Required Qualification & Experience

  • BA Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, Economics and related
  • One-year route sales experience in FMCG ideally beverage industry
  • Local language is required
