Key Roles and Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager  and working closely with implementing partners technical team at field and head offices, the expert  will be responsible to perform the following key duties:

• Leads and coordinates the implementation of project activities related with livestock and Rangeland management;
• Assist the target area community participation in rangeland and livestock development, act as a resource person, back stopper and technical advisor in all work carried out very closely and in collaboration with the project staff;
• Ensure traditional resource management modalities and impacts of grazing on natural resources are assessed and aligned with project activities; and establish and strengthen participatory rangeland management cooperatives;

Job Requirement

Required Qualifications and Experiences

• M.Sc / B.Sc Degree in Rangeland Management or Animal Science, Environmental Science, Developmental Studies, Natural Resource Management with at least 5 years of related work experience
• Skill of Value chain assessment , business plan development and management
