Job Description


Under the overall supervision of the D/CEO, the incumbent will be an organized, efficient, and communicative liaison officer to coordinate between Dina and Government and nongovernmental entities. In this role, the incumbent will act as the middle person between Dina  and the different Ministries to streamline operations, resolve issues, improve communications, and generally ensure that the relationship is as beneficial as possible

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Act as a positive representation of Dina Investment Group to all Government and Local stakeholders;

·Promptly respond to incidents and other events as necessary;

·Collect, analyze, and utilize data and feedback to identify opportunities to improve the relationship between Dina and other offices;

·Compile reports about particular incidents, events, or updates about important issue for the business;

· Proactively solve conflicts and address issues that could occur between Dina and the governmental and other Nongovernmental offices.

· Develop, maintain, and intensify contacts with relevant government institutions and authorities;

· Maintain thorough knowledge of the Dina business, as well as an understanding of how that impacts with Government entities;

· Monitor, coordinate, and communicate strategic objectives of Dina;

· Collaborate and communicate successfully with Government Ministries;

· Work with other staff members to develop a greater understanding of the business and any issues that arise;

·  Develop and foster relationships with the key federal  and regional state levels;

· Draft official letters in Amharic, Affan Oromo and English (when necessary) to communicate formally with relevant local government bodies

· Map all stakeholders at Federal and regional levels and ensure the staff are kept updated on the structures of government at all level including any changes;

· In Liaison with the D/CEO, prepare monthly progress reports and to stakeholders

Job Requirements

Minimum of 5 years relevant experience working with the government or related role is required. Knowledge and understanding of government settings and functions at both regional, and federal level is an advantage

A Liaison Officer Typically has the following Skills & Personal attributes

·         Ability to establish and nurture beneficial business relationships is desired

·         Skills’ working with the regional governments is required

·         Fluent working knowledge of Amharic, Affan Oromo and English is required.

·         Completion of an accredited communication studies program.

·         Former Liaison experience within a pertinent industry.

·         Ability to employ collaboration to promote the actualization of ideas.

·         Willingness to encourage the restoration of previously beneficial partnerships, where fitting.

·         Excellent communication skills.

·         Flexible, amicable, and business-oriented approach.

·         Adherence to designated procedural guidelines.
