 Purpose of the Job:

The Junior Procurement Officer for imports is responsible for collecting final PFI and submitting the same to banks, is also responsible for preparing and submitting documents required during any import process to concerned stakeholders, is responsible for collecting shipping documents, processing shipping, duty, warehouse and other payments, delivery follow up and documentation settlement with National Bank of Ethiopia after the release of declaration.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collects Pro-forma invoices from the Division Manager for international procurement and makes required application to secure bank import permits, insurance and required pre import permits;
• Collects required documentation and letters to process bank permits, insurance payment and pre import permits from the Import Procurement Officer and submits the same to concerned stake holder offices;
• Collects insurance and Bank import related payments and submits the same;
• Collects Bank Import Permits, insurance documents and pre import permits and submits to the imports Procurement Officer;
• Collects shipping documents and submits to East African Lion Brands customs clearing agents to expedite pre and post clearance process;
• Collects and delivers customs duty, warehouse and other customs clearance related payment;
• Collects customs declarations and submits to National Bank of Ethiopia;
• Performs other tasks assigned by the Division Manager for international procurements;

Qualification and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Supplies Management & Procurement or any othe related fields with zero (0) years of experience.
