Job Summary:

The Linkage Officer is responsible for implementing the linkage of digitized Iddirs to insurance products using the Jamii.one Mobile application and Jamii.one Insight in the assigned town and outreach sites. He/she assists the area manager in providing support to the Iddir Council and the Women and/or Social Affairs Office representative in achieving access to insurance products for digitized Iddir in the different woredas. He/she will work extensively with the town and woreda Iddir Council and with other partners. He/she will be required to travel extensively in assigned town and woreds.

Job Requirement

Qualifications:

• Degree in Marketing and Sales, business management or related field
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in sales or similar activity, preferably service delivery. Diploma graduate with 4 years of work experience would be considered.

Competencies:

• Must have strong writing and communication skills both in Amharic and English. Knowledge of local languages of the operating region is required.
• Skills and experience in computer applications and utilization is mandatory.
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision, self-motivated and have strong inter-personal skills, intra-personal and skills to promote teamwork.
• Must demonstrate strong interest and commitment to community-based groups such as Iddirs. Knowledge of an Iddir or membership in an Iddir is an added advantage.
• Proficient in product knowledge and presenting solutions to Iddirs
• Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities
• Must be able to actively listen and observe users’ need when using digital platforms and effectively report such observations.
• Demonstrated ability to train and teach patiently, particularly adept at guiding learners with no prior experience in digital platforms. Must have demonstrable personal integrity and honesty and must have pleasant personality.
• Must be willing to travel frequently to Woredas and Kebeles in the town.
• Must be willing to use the weekend dates to use for Iddir’s meeting to provide linkage.
