Job summary:

The Digitalization Officer is responsible for implementing the digitalization of Iddir record keeping activities using the Jamii.one Mobile application and Jamii.one Insight in the assigned town and outreach sites. He/she assists the area manager in providing support to the Iddir Council and the Women and/or Social Affairs Office representative in achieving the digitalization of Iddir’s record keeping in the different woredas. He/she will work extensively with the town and woreda Iddir Council and with other partners. He/she will be required to travel extensively in assigned town and woredas.

Job Requirement

Qualifications:

Education: BSc. Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Science or related field

Experience

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in digitalization rollout or similar activity
• Diploma graduate with 4 years of work experience would be considered.

Competencies:

• Must have strong writing and communication skills both in Amharic and English. Knowledge of local languages of the operating region is required.
• Skills and experience in computer applications and utilization is mandatory.
• Must be able to actively listen and observe users’ need when using digital platforms and effectively report such observations
• Demonstrated ability to train and teach patiently, particularly adept at guiding learners with no prior experience in digital platforms.
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision and have strong interpersonal skills and skills to promote teamwork.
• Must demonstrate strong interest and commitment to community-based groups such as Iddirs.
• Must have demonstrable personal integrity and honesty and must have pleasant personality.
• Must be willing to travel frequently to Woredas and Kebeles in the town.
