Reporting Manager – Finance Section Head

Location: Addis Ababa,

Employment Type: Temporary, 8 months, with the possibility of extension

Sex: Female

Job Summary:
The Junior Accountant, under the guidance of the Finance Section Head, will be responsible for conducting various finance-related tasks for the company.

Responsibilities:

1. Record and reconcile cash receipts and sales transactions.
2. Maintain and reconcile customers’ ledgers.
3. Assist in organizing and preparing monthly tax declaration documents (VAT, income taxes, and withholding taxes) as required by the Ethiopian Revenue Office.
4. Prepare check payments.
5. Follow up on check payment activities.
6. Summarize and record petty cash transactions.
7. Ensure completeness and proper filing of financial documents.
8. Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting from a recognized University/College with no prior work experience. OR Diploma in Accounting from a recognized University/College with at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in Accounting software and Excel spreadsheets is essential.
