Requirements

We are recruiting an Improved Animal Management Officer for Ripple Effect (RE) projects planned to be implemented in Wolaita Zone.

• For this vacant position we will consider applicants who have BSc in Animal science, Animal Husbandry, Animal Breeding, Animal Production & Rangeland Management or any animal related fields
• Five (5) years of relevant work experience in the area of animal welfare and management particularly on equine welfare.
• Experience of project monitoring at field level and quality report writing;
• Experience of project monitoring and reviewing;
• Prior experience with NGOs working in the area agricultural extension, community development and other food security related issues with smallholder farmers;
• Project management in the areas equine welfare & management;
• Skills in project planning, budgeting and monitoring;
• Ability of planning, organizing and conducting trainings and workshops at various levels (farmers, staff, stakeholders);
• Ability to coordinate project activities with a result based approach;
• Ability to use self-initiatives and work with minimal supervision;
• Very good skill in organizing activity schedules with ability to prioritize;
• High level of interpersonal skills with the ability to work across cultures and religions;
• Ability to be innovative and generate new ideas.
