Samaritan’s Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world. Job Summary

Samaritan’s Purse (SP) is currently implementing WASH Program in Erer zone Mulukie and Lagahedie woreda, Somalia region with the objective of reducing the incidence of diarrheal and other related diseases among the most vulnerable populations. The Hygiene promoter and trainer is expected to oversee the hygiene promotion activities at the woreda and kebele level.

Key Responsibilities

• · Conducts assessments and reports as required
• · Serves as the main focal point for hygiene promotion activities
• · Conducts hygiene promotion campaigns, initiates sensational campaigns, and raises awareness on latrine usage and utilization
• · Plays a significant role in participating in local meetings and identifying opportunities and lessons learned for communities regarding hygiene promotion barriers
• · Conducts determined barrier analysis for hygiene practices
• · Works closely with local stakeholders in the Woreda, providing training, facilitating TOT training, and conducting follow-up visits
• · Writes weekly reports and shares them with the supervisor.

Job Requirements

Education / Experience Needed

• § BA in Water Engineering, Public Health Environmental Engineering or equivalent Degree in related filed
• § Minimum three years of experience in WASH
• § Previous INGO work experience preferred

LANGUAGE : § Fluency in English, Amharic or Somalia language required
