Job Description

Given the continued growth and future expansion of NIGAT, the following opportunities exist.

The Company Human resources Development, Administrationand General service Department Manager is accountable to the Company General Manager and is responsible for the Planning, Coordinating, Directing, Staffing, Developing and controlling of the Company Human Resource and Administration as well effective and efficient functioning of the General Services. The Department Manager organizes, promotes, and implements value creating activities by planning and managing human resources and general service programs to ensure the right balance of staff in terms of talent and experience as well as quality service delivery.

Key duties and responsibilities

Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the Company’sbusiness strategy.

  • Develop and maintain effective internal policies, procedures and guidelines which compliance with government laws and regulations.
  • Ensure legal compliance in human resource management.
  • Foster a positive working environment through a fair and consistent conflict resolution process.
  • Ensuring the management of recruitment, selection, and placement and promotion is in line with the rules and regulation of the company.
  • Develop and maintain standard protocol for hiring, training and performance management.
  • Monitor vehicle maintenance and repairs including regular servicing.
  • Monitor the proper allocation and utilization of vehicles and fuel consumption.
  • Follow up the annual registration and inspection of vehicles.
  • Plan, organizes, directs, evaluates and supervises occupational safety, cafeteria and telephone services,
  • It plans and coordinates the daily operations of facilities and services,
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations building reliable and organized team with the ability to communicate effectively and handle office changes. Skilled at building and maintaining relationships
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance to ensure consistency, fairness and timeliness.
  • Maintain pay plan and benefits program.
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
  • Generate HR metrics to aid management decision-making.
  • Ensure all required resources are available for the department.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks and participating in professional associations.
  • Ensure and promote gender equality in the Company.
  • Serves as a compamies Public relation and build images by participating with social afairs
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities given by the Company General Manager.

About You

Education

  • BA/BSC/MA/MSC degree in Human Resource management, Business management, Business Administration, Management, Business leadership, project planning and management, Economics, Marketting Management and related fields.

Experience

  • 10 years for BA/BSC degree or 8 years for MA/MSC degree relevant work experience in human resource and general serviceand of which 4 years and above in human resource and general serviceresponsibility Position.

Other personal attributes

  • Proficient in planning and report writing in both Amharic and English.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office), customer service skills, time management, strategic thinking, and discipline.
