Job Description


Minaye PLC was established as a Private Limited Company (PLC) in 1992. Before establishment as PLC, it has operated for over 20 years as a sole proprietorship and now Minaye is involved in many sectors of the economy.

Summary:

The Human Capital Section Head/ Senior HC Officer is responsible for managing the administration of the Human Capital policies and procedures; HR departmental development, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, organizational development, job evaluation/analysis, and other employment related functions

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the execution of HR services in the areas of Compensation and benefits, recruitment, selection and retention.
  • Maintain and updates HR Information System to ensure that all personnel information is properly & accurately captured, effectively managed and maintained at all times.
  • Actively involved in the review, development and execution of HR policies & programs within the area of assignment.
  • Conduct Job Evaluation/Analysis for existing and new positions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a workable
  • Performance Incentive Scheme.
  • Provides support to employees in the interpretation of HR policies and guidelines
  • Responsible for the execution of HR services in the areas of employees’ welfare administrations.
  • Monitor current processes and identify ways to improve these processes and systems.
  • Conduct employee orientation, development, and training administration
  • Continually develop and maintain HR policies and procedures.
  • Participates in the conduct of investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth.
  • Participate in the conduct of investigation for disciplinary matters.
  • Prepare employment contracts and administer them to new employees, ensuring accuracy in contract information and agreed salaries.
  • Follow-up new hires probation period performance evaluation and issue permanent assignment or termination letter as the case may be.
  • Administer Minaye’s medical scheme, processing all medical claims and ensuring that cover limits are not exceeded, while communicating to staff on any changes relating to the medial provisions.
  • Advise and assist line managers in managing and addressing grievance/complaint handling and disciplinary matters.
  • Participate in the development, review and consolidation of human capital management plan and programs.
  • Coordinate with recruitment agencies whenever the need arises for using external recruitment agencies to recruit staff for vacant positions.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by immediate supervisor

Job Requirements

Education: A minimum of BA Degree in Human Resources or any other related field

Experience: At least four (4) years HR experience in a similar position.

Knowledge, Skills, Competence:

  • Ready to take initiatives with teamwork;
  • Information seeking with analytical thinking;
  • Excellent knowledge of the Ethiopia Labor Laws;
  • Well organized with the demonstrated ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced, high volume environment;
  • Demonstrated ability to be professional, calm, flexible, resilient, solution oriented, and creative;
  • Excellent oral and written communication and skills
